MISTE ANDERS-CLEMONS FOR HEBISD

My goal is to be an advocate for every student. Below are some of my goals as a School Board Member:

• • • Improving the diversification of all educators within HEBISD.  
    • Ensuring effective anti-bullying and cyber-bullying policies are implemented throughout the school district.
    • Supporting female student athletes by increasing and enhancing the participation and resources in ISD programs.
    • Developing community-based collaborations for educational excellence 
    • Creating a thriving environment for our LGBTQ+ students, teachers and administration.
    • Investing in new high school campuses that cultivate innovation, technology and an experience to ensure the future of education meets the needs and opportunities for our students.
    • Collaborating with our community to provide mentorship opportunities to students at every grade level.
    • Cultivating development opportunities and mentorship support for ISD Staff and Administration. 
    • Advocating for diverse and inclusive books in school and classroom libraries
    • Putting a focus on our students Mental health and emphasizing the equitable distribution of resources to support them 
    • Protecting and elevating the development of arts programs 
    • Championing partnerships to engage students and families about college and career pathways
